Emmerdale's Emma Barton has caused some huge messes in her time - but this one really takes the biscuit.
After weeks of speculation about the show's big autumn stunt, tonight's first episode (October 20) ended with truly spectacular scenes as Emma's dark saga with James sparked a terrifying road pile-up.
The troubled couple have taken centre stage in a huge storyline this month, with Emma holding James captive in their own home.
When James finally secured his freedom and hobbled off despite his broken leg, he made his way to a busy main road. The exact same road where we've seen several other characters in horrifying situations this week, so it never did bode too well.
With Emma in hot pursuit (despite two blows to the head!), the action culminated with them arguing violently on a footbridge above the road.
Treading carefully where crazy Emma was concerned, James told her that he still loved her despite everything. A likely story!

But when James pulled away from Emma's overly-optimistic kiss, she realised he was lying and made him pay the price by pushing him off the bridge.
Emma didn't really mean to hurt James by the looks of it, but by the time she reached out to grab him, it was too late and all hell broke loose.
James went crashing down onto Ashley Thomas's car, while the troubled vicar was driving aimlessly due to his dementia symptoms.
This caused Ashley's car to flip, distracting Pierce Harris from his own driving and causing him to swerve and stop in the middle of the road.
Then a random white van went crashing into both Ashley and Pierce, while Paddy and Rhona also crashed when they ended up in the middle of the carnage - causing even more chaos on the road. Are you keeping up?
Finally, Robron came along just after Robert's angry proposal and Aaron swerved to avoid the situation, but ended up driving over a cliff and into a lake.
It's a good job we have another episode coming at 8pm, because we're pretty sure this was the biggest Emmerdale cliffhanger ever!
