Coronation Street's Maria Connor will pull out of her business deal with Claudia Colby at the eleventh hour.
Maria (Samia Longchambon) makes the surprising decision over her future after realising the importance of her friendship with Audrey Roberts.
The pair fell out earlier this year when Audrey (Sue Nicholls) refused to let Maria buy into the salon. As a result, Maria decided to run a franchised business for Claudia instead.
Next week, that all changes when Weatherfield's crimpers gather for an annual awards ceremony which celebrates local hairstylists.
When Claudia (Rula Lenska) arrives with Rita, Maria and Ken, she breaks the news that she's nominated Audrey for the lifetime achievement prize.
Mortified by Claudia's mischief-making, Audrey suddenly starts knocking back wine and dreads the afternoon ahead.

Later on, Audrey is declared the winner and heads up on stage to accept the gong, but is clearly tipsy as she reacts to her victory.
Much to everyone's surprise, Audrey ends up making an impassioned speech about Maria, admitting that she's like a daughter. Maria is touched as Audrey publicly wishes her all the best for her new venture.
Soon afterwards, Audrey confides in David (Jack P Shepherd) that she resents Claudia for coming between her and Maria, while Maria tells Emma she fears she's made a terrible mistake by leaving the salon.
Later in the week, Maria and Audrey finally get their acts together and confess that they don't trust Claudia anymore.
Maria reveals that she wants to go into business with Audrey instead, so later breaks the news to Claudia that she's pulling out of their salon deal.
Furious over the news, Claudia warns that she won't be able to refund Rita's investment as the money was spent in good faith. Will Audrey and Maria's business partnership be a match made in heaven?
