Coronation Street actresses Kym Marsh and Helen Worth were among the stars who paid their respects to Manchester bombing victim Martyn Hett at his funeral today (June 30).

The Corrie superfan was one of the 22 people killed when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at Ariana Grande's Manchester Arena concert last month.

Family and friends of 29-year old Martyn gathered at Stockport Town Hall for a service to commemorate his life, with the funeral being screened outside of the town hall for those unable to fit inside.

Several other members of the Corrie cast joined Kym [Michelle Connor] and Helen [Gail Platt] to remember Martyn, including Jennie McAlpine (Fiz Brown), Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) and the show's producer Kate Oates.

Mariah Carey, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and comedian Jason Manford all recorded video tributes to be played during the service, while Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus sang for the congregation.

Martyn – who appeared on Come Dine with Me and Tattoo Fixers – became close to many of the Corrie cast over the years, and even got a tattoo of legendary soap character Deirdre Barlow on his leg following the death of actress Anne Kirkbride in 2015.
