Coronation Street actor Marc Anwar, who was born in Pakistan, has been sacked after allegedly posting an astonishing racist attack on Twitter.
Marc's Twitter account has now been locked, but the Sunday Mirror reports that racially offensive messages posted on his page branded Indians "b*****ds" and "p**s-drinking c**ts".
Another tweet allegedly wrote: "Why the F***k do #pakistaniartists want work in #f*** face #india, do you love money so much."
The Sunday Mirror also says that the actor quickly deleted two of the most offensive tweets on Friday night (23 September).
He is the first Corrie star to be sacked for bad behaviour since 2013, when Chris Fountain made offensive comments in online rap videos.
The remarks, which were seen to be posted on Friday, came just days after 17 soldiers were killed, sparking a UN clash between India and Pakistan.

After ITV were alerted to Marc's tweets by the Sunday Mirror, he is said to have been sacked within hours.
In a statement, ITV said: "We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on Twitter by Marc Anwar.
"We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to Coronation Street with immediate effect."
Since 2014, Marc has played businessman Sharif Nazir in Coronation Street. He has recently been at the centre of a major storyline surrounding a 7-year long affair which spills over into a shocking new blackmail plot next week.
As a result, his departure is likely to cause a lot of problems for storylines and scripts – but the affair plot could equally be an easy way to write him out of the soap.
