Blac Chyna has been granted a temporary restraining order against her former partner Rob Kardashian.

The reality star announced last week that she would seek an order of protection in the wake of an Instagram meltdown in which Kardashian posted graphic photos of his ex and accused her of cheating.

During a hearing on Monday (July 10), the presiding court commissioner granted Blac Chyna's request out of concern for the protection of their baby daughter Dream.

A secondary hearing will be held in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 8 to determine if Chyna's temporary restraining order will be extended.

"I personally, on Robert Kardashian's behalf, apologised and offered our regrets for what has taken place in the past couple of days," the attorney said. "Now, we move forward to do one thing and one thing only: Whatever's in the best interest of this child."

Shapiro is, of course, a long-time associate of Rob's late father from the days of the OJ Simpson double murder trial in the 1990s. Both men were depicted in the hit series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Digital Spy has reached out to Rob Kardashian's representatives for additional comment.

E! announced in the aftermath of Monday's court ruling that it has shelved the second season of the former couple's docu-series Rob & Chyna, at least for the moment.

On the morning of her court appearance, Blac Chyna admitted she'd been "devastated" by Rob's behaviour in an interview on ABC's Good Morning America.

"This is a person that I trusted. I confided. I felt comfortable, you know, with even sending these pictures and even talking to him about certain things, you know?" she said.

The couple have had a rocky road since getting together in early 2016, having split only to reconcile shortly thereafter on multiple occasions.
