Adele has the world talking about her brand new single 'Hello' - and asking why she uses an archaic flip phone in its accompanying music video.
The singer teamed up with French-Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan for a video that's on the cutting edge of technology with its IMAX cameras - while at the same time featuring an old-school phone as Adele's co-star.
Social media has been guessing all day about Adele's choice of mobile device, and now we finally have an answer.
"The use of flip-flop phones is coherent with the rest of my work," Dolan told Fusion. "I can't get my head around filming iPhones - they're too real, too identifiable with our everyday lives.
"Same for cars. I feel bad filming Toyotas and Kias. As soon as you film these elements, it's like you're shooting whatever commercial. I find them to be non-narrative elements."
That makes sense - kind of.
