The singer's new track 'What Do You Mean' is scheduled to arrive on Friday (August 28), and he'll swiftly follow that up with the first live performance of the song at the awards ceremony on Sunday (August 30).
Bieber has been counting down to the single's premiere for a month, describing the track as "really uplifting, clear, poppy, but cool".
He made his return to the stage at last weekend's Billboard Hot 100 Festival, nearly two years since the conclusion of his last major tour.
At one stage, it had been unclear whether the 21-year-old would ever return with new music, after he told a radio station at the end of 2013 that he was "actually retiring" - comments that were later "actually retiring".
