Kanye West has some very big plans for his headline slot at Glastonbury next weekend, festival boss Emily Eavis told Digital Spy.

There was a strong reaction against the rapper's booking when it was first announced earlier this year, with a petition to "cancel his slot and get a rock band" reaching over 134,000 signatures.

"You're always prepared because there's always controversy with whatever you announce," Eavis said of the backlash. "You kind of know there's going to be stuff, but yeah, there was obviously a lot.

"But y'know, that's great and I think he'll create an incredible show. What he's talking about at the moment is very exciting."

Asked just how big Kanye is allowed to take it, Eavis replied: "I think he's going to take it big. I can't say anything - I can't give anything away!"
