Happy Death Day is written and directed by Christopher Landon, who has worked on Paranormal Activity 2-4 and The Marked Ones, as well as horror-comedy Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse – which featured a zombie singing Britney Spears.
It might not be the most promising of CVs, but the presence of Blumhouse makes us confident after Get Out, which remains the best horror movie of this year to date.
Who knows, Get Out could even be in the running for an Oscar next year...
Happy Death Day is released in US cinemas on October 13 and UK cinemas on October 20.
