Marvel fans in the UK will be the first to see Thor: Ragnarok, as its release date has been moved forward.

What to Read Next

The threequel will now be out on Tuesday, October 24 instead of Friday, October 27, likely to capitalise on the school half-term holiday, with the change confirmed on a new poster published on Marvel UK's official Twitter account.

Thor: Ragnarok's release date echoes Doctor Strange last year, which also opened on a Tuesday during the half-term holiday in the UK.

Not that you even need to see it as we've guessed everything that will happen in Thor: Ragnarok based on the trailers, including the latest international one that featured more of Doctor Strange's cameo in the movie.

A new image released of the threequel also hinted that Hulk might not actually be that happy to see Thor on Sakaar.

The image showed Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie standing in front of what appears to be a parade celebrating the Hulk, with people dressed in green and waving homemade models of the Avenger in the air.

Director Taika Waititi has also revealed that he was trying to make Thor: Ragnarok as a "standalone film".

"I loved Thor 1 and Thor 2, but if I was going to make this film my own I couldn't come in and try to make a follow-on movie, to try to make the next episode. I wanted to do my own thing," he explained.

Thor: Ragnarok is released in UK cinemas on October 24 and US cinemas on November 3.
