Avengers: Infinity War is so close and we're incredibly excited. So excited, in fact, that we've been paying attention to generally dull movie things such as the soundtrack.

But it turns out Infinity War's composer Alan Silvestri – the man behind the new classic Avengers theme – might have revealed some interesting details about the film.

Speaking to Screen Rant, Silvestri said: "It's funny because I feel like everything is still shaking… the dust hasn't quite settled just yet.

"I wrapped Infinity War yesterday, and it was a really different experience than anything I'd done before, especially in regard to the approach and balancing quick shifts in tone."

This makes sense given Infinity War and its untitled sequel will include a huge roster of heroes – around 76 according to one Chris Hemsworth's theory (Thory?).

We also know that the heroes are set to be split into various teams while trying to battle Thanos and his irksome children of The Black Order.

It's going to be tricky for the movie to avoid being a giant ensemble mess – if Spider-Man 3 and, erm, Movie 43 taught us anything, less can definitely be more.

But perhaps those "quick shifts in tone" could suggest flitting between scenes of death and Marvel's trademark humour.

In other Avengers news, co-directors the Russo Brothers have claimed that Avengers 4 fans SHOULD be worried about not having been told the movie's title, and they've released an open letter demanding one thing after people watch the movie.

Avengers: Infinity War is released in UK cinemas on April 26 and US cinemas on April 27, with Avengers 4 set for release in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019 and US cinemas on May 3, 2019.
