Avengers: Infinity War has finished shooting. It also has the biggest superhero cast ever already. So how is it that more characters are still being rumoured for Joe and Anthony Russo's film?

IMDb has flagged an update that puts Spider-Man: Homecoming actress Tiffany Espensen on the cast of the MCU movie.

Espensen played a minor character called Cindy in the movie, who has been theorised to be Cindy Moon, the superhero known as Silk.

Silk was introduced in 2014 as a classmate of Peter Parker's who was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave him his powers. She was sent into hiding, emerging years later when Peter learned of her existence.

There's also something about them having an uncontrollable lust for each other that we're hoping – if she features in Infinity War – they will be skipping.

Cindy featured in Homecoming as a member of Peter's decathlon team. Her surname wasn't officially revealed, so she might just be an Easter egg.

Infinity War will see the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and other Marvel heroes all team up to face off against Josh Brolin's giant, purple space tyrant Thanos.

It seems unlikely that Cindy will have a major role in the movie, but who knows?

Avengers: Infinity War will be released in the UK on April 27, 2018, and in the US on May 4, 2018.
