Tom Holland has got our Spidey senses tingling, as he slipped into his Marvel suit to celebrate one year until Spider-Man: Homecoming hits cinemas.

The British actor, who starred in last year's Captain America: Civil War as Spider-Man Peter Parker, posted a picture of him wearing the iconic red-webbed suit on Instagram yesterday (July 7) while filming the new Marvel movie.

And he looks pretty awesome in it, if we do say so ourselves.

"1 year until #spidermanhomecoming hits theaters, are you ready...thought you would like to see a little selfie I took earlier," said the English actor, referring to the film's 2017 release date.

The movie - which began filming in June this year - will also star Marisa Tomei as a young Aunt May, Disney starlet Zendaya as a character called Michelle, TV legend Tyne Daly and Spider-Man superfan Donald Glover.

Writing duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein (VacationHorrible BossesCloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) are also on board for the new film.

Holland, who starred in 2012 drama The Impossible and British drama Wolf Hall, is the third actor to don the Spidey suit since 2002's Spider-Man

Both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have also starred as the iconic building-swinging superhero.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released July 28, 2017.
