Continuing in its quest to become the first great video game movie ever made, Assassin's Creed has shared new images of star Michael Fassbender in action to help us count down the months until the film's release.
The film's official Twitter account unveiled the two photos earlier this week alongside the words that mark an assassin's passage from apprentice to full member of the Assassin Order: "We work in the dark to serve the light."

In the images, Fassbender appears as both Callum Lynch and his ancestor from 15th century Spain, Aguilar.
Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society and, after unlocking the memories of his ancestor, gains incredible knowledge and skills as he prepares to take on the oppressive Knights Templar, this time in the modern day.
The film, which is directed by Justin Kurzel, will build on the highly successful gaming franchise and expand the series' mythology with a brand new story.
Fassbender heads an all-star cast featuring Marion Cotillard, Michael K Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson.
Assassin's Creed hits cinemas on December 21, 2016.
