Forget Captain Marvel – Anna Kendrick only has eyes for playing Squirrel Girl.
Just in case you're unfamiliar with the rodent superhero, the character's real name is Doreen Green, she has the ability to communicate with squirrels, and her features include claws on her hands and strong teeth.

Kendrick seems keen to take on the role should it ever arise, telling Net-A-Porter's EDIT magazine: "My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should [play her].
"I don't know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!"
Although no movie seems to be in the works, we're all in for Kendrick playing the role should it ever arise.
Meanwhile, the Pitch Perfect star said in the same interview that she has no desire to be America's sweetheart.
"I'd be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss America version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience," she said.
