Particularly of interest to many fans will be Liam Hemsworth's promise that the heroic Gale will have a lot more to do in Mockingjay - Part 2 than in past movies.

"I've kind of been on the sidelines for a long time," he admitted. "I've been watching the fight happen, and he's finally in the mix and heavily a part of the uprising and the military operations."

Bringing an end to such a successful franchise has been an "emotional" journey for both cast and crew, according to producer Nina Jacobson.

"It's a combination of trying to nail it and make it completely satisfying to the core and to enjoy the time that we have together while we do it," she explained.
