Are you a Horned Serpent, Pukwudgie, Thunderbird or Wampus?
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has put pen to paper again to tell you more about the houses featured in the upcoming movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, starring Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne.
And the short video below also features a description of the North American school for Witchcraft and Wizardry called Ilvermorny and its founder Isolt Sayre.
Rowling's backstory hints at some of the conflicts we'll see more of in Fantastic Beasts – the segregation of the magical community and 'no-Majs' (the American equivalents of muggles).
We also get a bit of backstory regarding the creatures that the four houses of Ilvermorny are named after.
- Horned Serpent – a 'great horned river serpent with a jewel set into its forehead'
- Pukwudgie – 'a short, grey-faced, large-eared creature'
- Thunderbird – a creature that 'can create storms as it flies'
- Wampus – 'a magical, panther-like creature that is fast, strong and almost impossible to kill'
