Shahid Kapoor has confirmed he is to marry in December.
The actor has recently been the focus of speculation following rumours that he was engaged to Delhi-based student Mira Rajput.
Shahid Kapoor: 'Haider has been a great film for me as an actor'
According to Bollywood Life, the actor clarified the reports about his engagement at the HT Style Awards, saying: "I'm not engaged yet but marriage is on the cards this December. Please co-operate with me, I will let you know about everything soon."
When pressed by the media for more information the Jab We Met actor replied: "I'll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I'm here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media. Other than that I'm just a normal guy, she's just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I'm very happy."
21-year-old Rajput is currently completing her BA Honours in English from Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College. A South Delhi resident, she and Shahid, 34, met through the Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a religious group to which their families belong. The two were introduced through their parents.
