"It was always a dream to create my own fashion label," Kapoor told PTI. "Partnering with Anjana of USPL has made my dream come true. Imara is all about the fairytales and this is my fairytale coming true."

The Haider actress also revealed that her debut collection is a contemporary interpretation of classic styles that have been inspired by the modern Indian woman.

"My collection is a modern Indian adaptation of classics that experiments with ethnic designs and offers a refreshing take on fashion for the young and the stylish. It is a line of clothing for the new Indian woman. Smart and independent, open and free," she said.

When asked about her personal style statement, Kapoor said that what she wears is a reflection of her personality.
