Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly keen on starring in Maneesh Sharma's next project.
The director made his Bollywood debut with the romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010 and has since directed Shuddh Desi Romance.
Mumbai Mirror claims that Khan has already spent a great deal of time discussing the project with Sharma, but is yet to make a final decision.
In August, the veteran actor explained that starring in a record-breaking box office hit like Chennai Express made his success worthwhile.
Director Farhan Akhtar has said that Khan will be taking on the role of a "Gujarati don" in their next project together.
