Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are said to have ended their five-year feud.

The actors, who have allegedly not spoken to each other since an altercation at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008, were seen hugging and posed together for a photo at the iftar party hosted by Congress leader and Bandra MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai on Sunday.

Writing on Twitter the next day, Shah Rukh said: "Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on."

Siddique also wrote about the meeting, commenting: "Salman and Shah Rukh are my childhood friends. They themselves met each other."

Salman's brother Sohail Khan is reported to have said: "Salman and Shah Rukh Khan just greeted each other, nothing else."

News of the apparent conciliation sparked a Twitter frenzy, with fans of the two actors reaching out to one another.
