Michael Fassbender's sinister android David was one of the undeniable highlights in Ridley Scott's divisive Prometheus, so it's great to hear that he's coming back for Alien: Covenant in not one but two roles.
The actor revealed to The Irish Times that he will return as David as well as playing another robot, Walter.

The second character probably increases his chance of having more to do in the movie than be a decapitated head tucked under Noomi Rapace's arm.
"I think what's great about [Alien: Covenant] is that Ridley has gone back to the original DNA of Alien, the horror element of that," Fassbender said of the tone of the movie.
"But it also has the scope and scale of Prometheus.
"Ridley has cut it already. He is a machine."
Back when the project was still intended to be Prometheus 2, there was a rumour that Fassbender would play multiple versions of the David android.
The film will centre around a colony ship (the Covenant of the title), which is on a mission to explore a world they believe to be an unexplored paradise.
The reality is, of course, much more sinister and fatal than they imagined.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actress Katherine Waterston will star in the film, with Danny McBride, Demián Bichir and Billy Crudup also on board to (probably) die horribly at the hands of the xenomorphs.
Rapace will also be back as Dr Elizabeth Shaw, with armpit ready and waiting for Fassbender's lovely head.
Alien: Covenant will be released on August 4, 2017.
