DualShockers spotted the game on the Japanese PlayStation Store, where it's available to pre-order ahead of its September launch.
The PS4 version is more than double the size of its PS3 counterpart, which only weighs in at 11.7GB.
It's possible the European and North American versions could be slightly larger due to localisation, while Xbox file sizes remain unknown.
To celebrate the game's arrival on the PlayStation Store in Japan, Hideo Kojima shared a new poster of the game on Twitter.
Featuring a bloody Snake and Quiet, the poster says: "Stained in blood, the aftermath of revenge."
