Mojang has announced that it is building a new version of Minecraft exclusively for Windows 10 PCs.
Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, which enters beta at the end of this month, will take advantage of the operating system's features.
The game will include a built-in recorder so players can share footage more easily, new modes of play, Xbox controller functionality, and support for Xbox Live and Pocket Edition friend communities.
Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition will be available to all of the 20 million players who already own the PC version for free, but will not replace the existing edition.
The game was announced at Minecon 2015 in London, where the first trailer for Telltale Games' Minecraft: Story Mode was shown.
Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition enters beta on July 29, the same day that Windows 10 commences its rollout.
