The hellishly long wait is almost over - the Doom reboot will make its first public appearance at this year's E3 expo.
The video provides a taste of the revamped Revenant enemy before confirming the game will appear at Bethesda's first ever press conference on Sunday, June 14, two days before the show begins.
The reboot - which was known as Doom 4 in 2008 before undergoing a revamp in 2011 - was confirmed to be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC at last year's QuakeCon event in a behind-closed-doors showing.
Being created on a new version of the id Tech engine - running at 1080p and 60 frames per second - it's set to contain many of the same monsters from the series, including Imps and Cyberdemons.
It also implements a melee combat system, that allows players to perform a new range of attacks, such as ripping open a demon's head or tearing off its jaw with a chainsaw.
Those who purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order will gain access to Doom's beta before release.
