After a 25-year absence, the Nintendo World Championships are making a comeback at this year's E3 Expo - and Reggie is competing.

In a new video announcing the plans for this year's expo, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Amie lifts GameCubes and Super Scopes to train for the tournament - which is taking place on Sunday June 14, two days before the expo begins.

The publisher also announced a Digital Event - a pre-recorded conference with new announcements - will take place at 5pm UK time on Tuesday June 16, the same time as last year.

It will also have an expanded Nintendo Treehouse presence from the showfloor, where the year's new announcements will be discussed in further detail in a series of livestreams across the show's three days.

Nintendo's Digital Event will clash with Square Enix's E3 conference, which is also set for 5pm UK time on Tuesday June 16.
