3DS and Wii U-focused Nintendo Direct coming April 1: 'It's no joke'

A new Nintendo Direct broadcast has been announced by Nintendo for April 1.

Broadcast live from Nintendo's website at 11pm UK time, the stream will provide updates on new 3DS and Wii U games.

Nintendo Direct broadcasts are hosted by Nintendo executives, providing new details of upcoming games and announcing entirely new ones.

The first broadcast of the year in January announced a new Fire Emblem game and launch information for the New 3DS, Zelda: Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Nintendo recently announced plans to release mobile and tablet games - the first of which will release this year - as well as new dedicated games hardware.
